With general and assembly elections just round the corner, the politics in Andhra Pradesh are taking interesting twists and turns. This is the time for Operation Akarsh for politicos in the state. Many of the turncoats who left the YSRCP to join the ruling TDP are an upset lot. They did not get what was promised and are disgruntled. So, many of them are looking towards the YSRCP again.
But, what is important is that some of the ruling party leaders, who enjoyed the positions of power, including ministerial posts, too are looking towards the YSRCP. It is being said that they are unhappy as they have always been at the wrong end of Chandrababu’s stick. They were repeatedly chided by Chandrababu during cabinet and party meetings. So, unhappy are they that they are looking to leave the party.
Meanwhile, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, who is sulking due to Chandrababu’s treatment, is also likely to leave the TDP. Two key ministers too are looking towards the YSRCP. So, it’s tough time for Chandrababu placating the disgruntled leaders.
