 Actress Pratyusha's mother slams Chandrababu's women's rallies

Chandrababu’s high-sounding talk on women’s welfare and safety is a travesty of truth. His rallies are a joke, said Sarojini Devi, mother of film actor Pratyusha, who ended her life in 2002. She said that it was during Chandrababu’s reign that her daughter was raped and killed by people close to Chandrababu. They had erased all evidence using their power and influence.

Pratyusha, a promising actress who had done only a couple of films, died under suspicious circumstances. Those who were with her at that time were close to the TDP government of that time. Sarojini Devi said that Chandrababu Naidu was anti-women.

She demanded that the current Telangana Governemnt reopen the case and do justice to her family. She expressed the hope that her fight in the Supreme Court would yield the results.
