Castigating Chandrababu Naidu for his dichotomy on Special Category Status (SCS) and for backing his party men involved in illegal sand mining and assault on women, YSR Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said the people of the district did not benefit in tune with the support they have extended as TDP government has failed on all fronts.
Address a massive public meeting after the Prajasankalpa Yatra has rolled into the West Godavari district crossing the 2,000 km milestone, the Leader of Opposition said that Chandrababu Naidu had never bothered about SCS for the four long years he was sharing power with BJP. Once he came out of the coalition, he picked up a different tune and started his theatrics of fasting and other modes to cover up his failures.
It was Chandrababu Naidu who had watered down the SCS struggle and it was he who spoke ill of the status and called it names. When we kept the SCS flag afloat, he misused his power and tried to thwart the struggle.
He went on record to praise the Union Government even when there was no mention of SCS and the U-turn made him to pose a saviour which he is not and he has cheated all sections of people during his four year term.
The double speak of Chandrababu Naidu has exposed his ill-intentions in the full glare of public view and he should stand as a person with guilt as he did not raise his voice when he was with BJP.
The local MLAs have been illegally mining sand and when Chintamaneni Prabhakar had assaulted a woman officer, instead of admonishing him, Chandrababu Naidu has brokered peace and settled the issue shielding the Chief Whip.
Though the district has given TDP full number of legislators, the people were not benefitted and all sections were cheated, he said.
Such cheats and liars should be taught a fitting lesson at the hustings as Chandrababu Naidu had gone back on all his poll promises and he will again come back promising moon, he said.
Fees reimbursement will be implemented when we come to power with your blessings. Professional courses would be within the reach of the weaker sections. Hostel and mess charges would also be paid to the students. Catching them young, we would credit Rs 15,000 annually into the mother’s bank account directly for sending her two children to school and create a strong foundation, he said.
For auto drivers, he has announced an annual fund of Rs 10,000 which would take care of the insurance and other such expenses, he said.
The Praja Sankalpa Yatra has rolled in to West Godavari district at Venkatapuram in Eluru Parliament constituency, after covering the four districts of Rayalaseema, Nellore, Prakasam and getting a massive response in Guntur and Krishna district. A 40-feet pylon was unveiled to mark the occasion.
