Nandamuri Harikrishna was driving at 160 km at the time of mishap

Nandamuri Harikrishna, the famed driver of NTR’s Chaitanya Ratham, was among the safest drivers and NTR trusted him capabilities at the steering. Harikrishna used to be up and  ready before his father was ready for the travel. He drove across the length and breadth of the state.

But, it was a quirk of fate that he died at the wheel. His car hit a road divider and overturned. The impact was so huge that the vehicle fell on the other side of the road divider on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada high way. Harikrishna’s vehicle, a Fortuner, had every safety feature available. Yet, while speeding at 160 kmph,  these features failed to protect Harikrishna.

Harikrishna did not wear the mandatory seat belt and suffered severe head injuries due to the impact of the car hitting the ground. He bled heavily and suffered internal injuries too. Sources also said that since it was well before the break of the don, Harikrishna drove at a very high speed.
