YSR Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has assured that due representation would be created for the smaller social sections in the State Assembly and has given an assurance of fixed income to Naye Brahmans working in various temples of the state.
In an interactive session with Naye Brahmans as part of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra here on Tuesday, the Leader of Opposition after hearing to their plight said that his government, after coming to power, would created space for their representation in the state assembly.
This apart, as they have no stable jobs in the recognized temples and no fixed income he said that steps would be taken to fix their pay in recognized temples. For those who are carrying out their work in private hair cutting saloons, free power would be given up to 250 units and up to 500 units the tariff would be not on commercial rates but on domestic rate. The community also has the choice to take the power subsidy or an annual payment of to each shop whichever the community prefers.
The Naye Brahman Federation would be replaced by a Corporation which would offer loans to the needy. A delegation of Naye Brahmans have met the Leader of Opposition and represented their cause seeking his help.
As the smaller groups like Naye Brahmans, Viswabrahmans, potters and washermen have no representation in the state assembly, due representation would be created, he said.
