Chiru’s political sojourn seems to be screeching to a halt – not for the time being, but permanently. On April 2, his Rajya Sabha term ends along with that of Congress MP Renuka Chowdhary and TDP’s Devender Goud. Chiru might as well bid an adieu to politics.
He has already given enough indications.
After merging PRP with the Congress, he was made a minister at the Centre. With the Congress bowing out in 2014, he has almost lost interest in politics. He found that there was no role for him either at the Centre or in the State. Even when the MPs from AP were protesting for special category status, Chiru stayed silent. He had also kept a safe distance from his brother Pawan Kalyan’s political moves.
So, after April 2, politician Chiru might go off the air. Only actor Chiru will remain active.
