The TDP protests over the injustice to Andhra Pradesh continued for the second day in Parliament. However, there were more theatrical than anything else. The protests lacked punch and verve. The MPs showed placards demanding special package to Andhra Pradesh. While other MPs stood in the backdrop of Mahatma Gandhi’s statue in Parliament, Chittoor MP Sivaprasad showed his funny side again with funny makeup.
He squatted on the ground and said that Modi has not just duped the people of Andhra Pradesh, but also the Lord of Tirupati and Goddess Kanakadurgamma of Vijayawada. He said he gave assurances during his meetings in Tirupati and Vijayawada and has backtracked on them. Thus, he deceived the deities, he argued.
