Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu has adopted a peculiar political strategy to survive in the next elections. He has decided to go alone in 2019 elections in AP but support Congress at national level. Naidu already entered poll agreement with Congress in Telangana and formed Mahakutami to fight against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in the ensuing elections.
After pulling the TDP out of the BJP led NDA, Chandrababu developed cordial relations with Congress. He attended the swearing in ceremony of Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and met AICC leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and sent a strong signal that he support Congress in 2019 elections.
Chandrababu is of the strong view if TDP joined hands with Congress, people will revolt against him in the next elections as Andhra people were angry on Congress for dividing the state without rendering justice.
APCC President N Raghuveera Reddy also confirmed that Congress will not sail with TDP in Andhra in next elections.
